New ventures

Hmmm, well, this is a new venture!


But being a keen user of Facebook and Twitter (love of my life!) this may well be something that suits me.


Well, about me. I'm a student, at a small Agiricultural Uni in Shropshire. I study Countryside Management, which is rather lovely. The homeshire is Staffordshire, Burton-on-Trent to be precise. It's...home. I do like it, I just don't love it. I like photography, and the Countryside (naturally) and horses.


Life seems to be really taking off at the moment, which is why I guess that I'm starting this. Placement year will be starting around September time, which means actually having a proper job! But before that I have a job lined up for the Summer working at an International Summer School for children from abroad coming to learn English. I'm going to be an 'Activity Leader' which will be fun!


Also potentially getting involved with Cowes Week this summer, now that is exciting! I've never sailed before, and I'm not that good at swimming, so we'll see how it goes but I wouldn't mind a whole week on the Isle of Wight.


Other adventures include going to more stuff with The Sealed Knot. That, my friends is an English Civil War battle re-enactment society, which is quite frankly bloody awesome! But I may be biased as I was born into it... Anyhoo, after not being a member since the age of 11 due to family reasons, family plus the boyf and I all rejoined for the 2011 season. It really was the best decision I've ever made, was lovely to see so many old friends and meet so many new ones. Boyf was a bit apprehensive when I told him what we were going to do, and was terrified at the first weekend, but now he loves it, which is grand.


2012 membership is paid up and we're ready for the off, which I guess starts with the banquet in just over 2 weeks time :) Lovely.
