Ice Skating and such like

Apologies for no blog yesterday. It can't have been that interesting though, I can't remember what happened.

I went to a couple of lectures and fixed a lot of Sealed Knot kit as far as I know, oh and rallied round to get support for my friends band The Vibe. They were in a competition on Facebook to try and get votes, to win a slot on the bill at a local festival. They've done really well and got well over 2000 votes, putting them in second place, which did indeed get them the spot! They happen to be playing a gig at home on my birthday, so looking forward to that.

In other news, the camera charger arrived yesterday, a day earlier than expected and very impressive since it came by Royal mail but I only ordered it about 7pm the night before...

I don't think anything else of particular interest happened. Can't say today was much better during the day either, I didn't do a great deal apart from a couple of lectures. I have found out today that I have another job interview. This time for the Field Studies Council down in South Wales, I'm really looking forward to going to that and seeing what it's like, I've not been to South Wales for years!

This afternoon/ evening we had an Equestrian Social, to which only 6 people turned up, there was meant to be 20, but that's a standard thing to happen at an Equestrian Social. The 6 of us had a wonderful time though, we went ice skating in Telford! Something I haven't done for at least 3 years. Irish and Shropshire members were very good, and the rest of us were pretty alright. Only Irish member and I fell over, which was good, and we do have a few photos on the new camera, a particularly good one of Suffolk member with her arms flailing as she nearly went over.

Due to the small numbers, we decided that a MacDonalds was in order. Today I've found out that if you order a meal deal thing there, you can get a free McFlurry if you have a student card, which is pretty cool! We all ordered free McFlurries, more for the novelty I think. Suffolk member had great fun trying to play on the kids interactive floor that they've just installed in this particular branch, unfortunately it switched off part way through.

Evening has been spent dossing around on here and creating a 'Facebook Event' for my birthday because I was too lazy to text everyone with the details. Also spent on Skype talking to the Best friend, which was lovely, looking forward to seeing her at the weekend!

Going to spend the rest of the evening continuing with the ongoing task of sorting out the music on my computer... It's a wonderful task!

Enjoy your evening.
