Today has been another wonderful day, but my mood does tend to pick up at the same points as the weather, which may be why.
Lectures were fairly interesting, lunch with the Engineer boys was also good, until the point one of them sat on my car, so I couldn't fetch Leicestershire Housemate in time for our afternoon lecture, he eventually moved and we made it to lecture just in time, but this involved me driving from home to campus in 3 minutes, which is quite impressive!
After that, we went and bought ice creams and sat on the bonnet of my car enjoying them in the sunshine.
This evening was spent eating out again! I really will be bankrupt soon, but it will be my own fault. It was spent with Leicestershire Housemate, having a meal at Frankie and Bennys before going to the cinema to see The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
Meal was good, but service was slower than usual, but we had time to kill. For once I didn't have the Chicken Carbonara, which really does make a change, I had a Cajun Chicken pasta bake instead, and very nice it was too, followed by a lovely cinnamon waffle and ice cream. If the illness doesn't flare up tonight because of all that fat, I will be really surprised (hoping not though)!
The film was truly excellent, totally recommended. It had plenty of very funny moments, some magical one liners from Dame Maggie Smith, which were great. It also had a really poignant story line too, and other great actors such as Dame Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Deve Patel etc. There were some sad moments, but the overall vibe of the film is very feel-good. Go and see it, you won't regret it. Not spoiling the plot line or anything, but make sure you look out for the elephant. On the way home I complained that there weren't any, only to be told there was, and I must have missed it.
Afterwards we had a parking ticket ordeal. I knew I'd put it away, as soon as I got out the car, to keep it 'safe'. Famous last words... searched purse, wasn't in there, searched each section of bag, promptly spilling the remaining chocolate buttons all over the middle section of the bag, couldn't find it. It was in the little front pocket. With the car keys. Ironic. Put the ticket in machine and found that it was free because it was the evening, and then drove round to the barrier, which was open all along! Typical.
Anyway, I think sleep is calling. Sleep well all :)
